Pichu:

Type: Electric

Tier: NFE

Ability: Static

Overview:

Pichu is an extremely outclassed Pokemon; like its big brother Pikachu, Pichu has horrid stats at first glance, but it isn't completely useless. Its Speed reaches a stat of 16, allowing it to outspeed common Pokemon who sit at the 15 Speed stat benchmark. Don't be fooled by all its cuteness, Pichu is a Pokemon that an opponent should think twice about before reacting.

Best Moveset:

~ Encore
~ Substitute
~ Thunderbolt
~ Hidden Power Ice

Pichu is the only Electric-type in the tier who has access to Encore, and is one of the only support moves Pichu can make good use of. Encore allows Pichu to force switches and scout; Pichu can Encore a non-damaging move, then set up a Substitute as they switch, before hitting the switch-in with the correct move. Thunderbolt is Pichu's main attack, and will be hurting most Pokemon who don't resist it. Hidden Power Ice complements Thunderbolt well, forming the infamous BoltBeam combination, in which no Pokemon in the tier resists bar Magnemite and Chinchou.

Pichu Pwns. End of story.

Off topic: (but this is about pichu) you can use Pichu in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and although he/she is quick the downside is when he attacks for example thundershock or thunder he takes a little damage

I know, Pichu is my best character. His skull bash attack is extremely powerful compared to Pikachu, and he's faster while still able to pack a punch. (with the damage downside of course)

Its tooo bad he wasn't in Brawl.

yea, mewtwo as well, he was a better character than lucario

Does Pichu have the electric damage taken in the Pokemon Games too?

no, unless it uses volt tackle which usually does recoil damage anyway

This has always intrigued me, in their debut it was said that "too bad Pichus can't use electric attacks without hurting themselves" yet from that point on, they appear to be able to handle their electricity pretty well, and don't OHKO on the first attack like before. I suppose it has more to do with the Pichu's personal skill, rather than an actual electricity = death no matter what scenario.
