Movesets in the Anime

Do you think the four move limit applies when it comes to the Anime Pokemon?

In Diamond and Pearl, I can only account for Pikachu using the moves Quick Attack, Thunderbolt, Volt Tackle, and Iron Tail. Whenever I think about it, I can't seem to pick out any Pokemon that used more then four different moves. Can you?

No... I think the 4 move limit still applies in the anime, even though they don't mention it.

I thought I reember a few Pokemon using more than 4 moves in 1 battle, I don't reember when.

can they only use 4 moves in the anime or do they not have limit?

I think its only 4 move sbut I swear I saw a Pokemon break this rule once.

ehh im not really worried about it im moreinterested in if we ever get to combin attacks one day like in the anime

According to bulbapedia Dome Ace Tucker's Swampert used 5 moves in one episode.

I knew it! I was off by 1 season. Pikachu always had this 4 limit rule, but now with its new move, will it have 5 different moves?

i think pikachu had agility in sinnoh

No he hasn't used aglity since I think Kanto.

Drake's Dragonite used 9 moves in 1 episode

That Dragonite used 10 moves in all so Drake's Dragonite and Tucker's Swampert that i mentioned before are at least 2 instances of a pokemon using more than 4 moves so there might be others.

The 4 move limit applies, but, moves like Fly, Dive, Cut, Strength, Surf, etc are naturally known by some Pokes, so they don't count as regular attacks.

For example, Vaporeon can easily Surf or Dive on/in the water, without the Trainer actually ordering it to do it as a move. Machoke naturally has a lot of strength, so it can move things around freely, etc...

Yeah I can understand why it doesn't apply for some HM moves.

a btw did you know in the anime some pokemon use moves that they can't in the games

For example a Raticate used High Jump Kick before.

and pikachu used leer there is a hole thing on bulbapedia about the moves pokemon in the anime use
