| Say, your only partner is a non-amphibious aquatic pokemon like Goldeen or Basculin or Horsea or many other fish pokemon. In the pokemon game, they overlooked the fact that they are unable(?) to strive on the land.. You can battle with fish pokemon just like you battle with them on the wate and in HG/SS game, they can even float around following you on the land travel outside the pokeball.. This however, is supposed to be impossible in the real pokemon world, so...
In the world of pokemon real world (say, anime or something like that), how do you travel with them?.. How do you battle with them on the land with no water?.. And how can someone even become a Wailord trainer?

| Questioning the physics of Pokemon is like combining science and religion. They don't work out. | |

Gyrados is part flying so that kind of makes sense. I personally try not to make too much sense out of anime and games.
