On another topic it mentions that butterfree could have originally have been intended to have evolved from venonat and venomoth have evolved from metapod. I've also seen a theory that khangaskhan was orginally going to be the final evolution of cubone. Are there any pokemon you think were orginally going to be part of the same evolutionary family?

I don't see a resemblence either. Maybe Alomomola was supposed to be an evolution of luvdisc.
